Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Systems Software Programmer / Claims UAT Tester to support Claims Operations testing initiatives and ensure successful implementation of business and system requirements prior to production deployment.

The ideal candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Claims Operations applications and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for Claims Operations projects.
• Validate that business requirements are implemented accurately before production release.
• Develop, execute, and manage UAT test plans, test cases, test scripts, and testing documentation.
• Perform both positive and negative testing to identify defects and ensure issue resolution.
• Track, document, and report testing progress, defects, risks, and mitigation activities.
• Collaborate with IT, CORE, Claims, and Business Analyst teams to understand project requirements and solution designs.
• Participate in data mining and review sessions to evaluate business processes and workflows.
• Ensure adherence to established UAT quality standards, methodologies, and testing procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree OR 8+ years of related work experience after high school.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT Quality Assurance and Systems/Application Testing.
• Strong experience performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Hands-on experience creating:
• Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Procedures, Test Scripts
• Expected Results Documentation
• Experience with multiple testing methodologies including:
• Unit Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, UAT Testing
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into effective testing scenarios.
• Experience collaborating with Functional and Technical Business Analysts.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong multitasking and deadline management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with healthcare claims operations and medical care systems.
• Knowledge of government programs and commercial lines of business.
• Project Management certification or related project experience preferred.
• Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
• English proficiency required.

Pay: $65.00 - $75.00 per hour
