ROLE COMMITMENTS Create test cases based on requirements and design specifications to ensure comprehensive and measurable test coverage Actively run test cases, identify defects, and document test results for analysis and interpretation Clearly document and report identified defects, providing necessary details for developers to understand and address issues Perform regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not negatively impact existing functionality Continue learning by staying up to date on industry trends, testing tools, and best practices to enhance skills and contribute to process improvement Be flexible and adaptable to changing project requirements and priorities Essential Duties And Responsibilities Test moderately complex features of new software releases using predefined test runs. Capable of creating and executing test cases, test runs, test plans Write bugs/defects in a manner that results in resolution Document test results and follow through to a resolution Work with developers to resolve and debug issues Perform regression, black box, smoke, and interface testing Identify, isolate, and communicate bugs effectively and efficiently Understand software testing and complete job requirements with little supervision Proactively identify problems with requirements (lack of clarity, inconsistencies, technical limitations) for their own work and adjacent work, and communicate these issues early to help course-correct Mentor other testers through reviewing their communication and work Report to a team lead Other duties may be assigned #J-18808-Ljbffr
